Pomona Ventures will be hosting a coffee chat with Alex Groth, Pomona '12, founder of Gladly, which is a Palo-Alto based tech startup that makes online advertising more enjoyable by putting users in control of their own ad experience. Stop by the SCC on Sept. 29th to network and learn more about Alex and his entrepreneurial ventures.
Think 'Shark Tank', but for Pomona 'Sagehens'. Sage Tank has been Pomona Ventures' keystone event for many years, and offers students an opportunity to take their startups to the next level. Every year, four or five student companies are selected and trained to pitch their ideas to a panel of alumni judges, who in turn offer feedback and criticism to the teams. Winning teams are also awarded a $500-$2000 grant to invest into their companies.
