Event Descriptions

Makers' Space

Makers' Space is designed to be a start-up networking space. Our goal is to increase the accessibility of joining a startup for 5C students looking to join. The benefits are twofold: (1) founders/startups can recruit student engineers, designers, marketers, and accountants for their projects and (2) students looking to develop those skills within a startup environment can find projects to join.

We already have three startups that will be there to meet and recruit students, and showcase their products — these include a fractionalized art investment platform (valued at ~$6 million), an AI work assistant (backed by Hummingbird, Graph, Armyn Capital, and Pareto), and an AI-informed insurance reader (winner of 5CHackathon). This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with other founders as you look to grow your startups!

Food and refreshments will be available.

Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect is a pitch competition. Our goal is to have students come together in groups of 2-4 to compete in a pitch competition. If you do not have a group, we will put you in one.

Prompts will be given out at 11:30 am, and pitches will begin at 2:30 pm. First place winner will receive $500, second place - $200, and third place - $100.

Food and refreshments will be available.

Speaker's Series

Our speaker series will feature a mix of recent grads and experienced industry members. This event will start at 1 PM.

Stay tuned for a finalized list of speakers coming soon!
